Accurate core temperature measurement
Measure true core temperature and compensate for thermal error during dimensional measurement and CNC machining.
Designed for high-accuracy manufacturing applications where thermal effects impact dimensional accuracy.
Core temperature
Measure true workpiece temperature beyond surface readings.
Thermal compensation
Reduce dimensional error caused by temperature variation.
Faster workflows
Reduce reliance on workpiece soaking time
The Problem
Temperature variations limit dimensional accuracy
In high-accuracy manufacturing, temperature variation directly affects measured dimensions.
Surface temperature does not always represent true workpiece core temperature, yet core temperature is what drives material expansion and contraction.
Because core temperature cannot be measured directly, manufacturers rely on surface readings and workpiece soaking time.
This slows inspection and machining and still leaves residual thermal error.
Our Solution
Acoustic core temperature measurement
Ultrathermo enables accurate measurement of true workpiece core temperature to support thermal control and compensation in manufacturing applications.
Using a novel acoustic core temperature measurement system, workpiece temperature can be measured accurately during dimensional measurement routines. This temperature data can then be used for thermal error compensation, helping to reduce the time lost to workpiece soaking while maintaining accurate dimensional measurement.
The system can also be installed on CNC milling machines to support in-process thermal error compensation during subtractive manufacturing.
Key capabilities
Core temperature measurement
Measure true workpiece core temperature during dimensional measurement, rather than relying on surface readings.
Thermal error compensation
Use core temperature data to support compensation for thermal errors in measurement and machining processes.
Flexible integration
Designed with a flexible, reconfigurable interface and portable electronics to enable rapid integration with existing systems and communication protocols.
